I use the control deck for loader use, I could use the flight stick as it's still bound and it's far more accurate, but I like the T.Flight throttle as an actual "throttle" for farm sim. So I use the brake as clutch, the CH toe axis (left and right separate) as brake and gas respectively. This means there's no way you can use the brake as a clutch and accelerator as a brake because the axis will be at 0 when both pedals are pushed down. I have to have the CH pedals because for some reason they use ONE axis for the gas and brake on the floor pedals for the Logitech wheel. I've got the full Heavy Equipment bundle, a CH Products Yoke, CH pedals and a Thrustmaster T.Flight HOTAS all on the desk for use in FS22. Windows will think you're 100% turned when you hit the full or half rotation. Be very accurate with it and save that calibration. I'm just not up for battling with major software incompatibilities, I of course understand that there will need to be some tweaking to get it configured properly, but I don't want to spend days/weeks fighting the good fight, so I figured I'd ask here if anyone might have any insight.Ī trick you can do is go into the USB controller setup calibration, and instead of turning the wheel all the way to the left and right, only do one or half a rotation to the left and right. It's obviously not going to perform long term compared to a $1000+ wheel/pedal setup, but should hopefully be good enough for the time being, and I'm fairly confident that it will work fine with my new (W10, Ugh) build once I finish it.īeing as I am going to play both FS's, do you know if I can integrate both controls into FS22? From the little I've read so far, Virpil makes very decent quality products, but at that price point, they had better be. I bought it because it seemed a reasonable compromise between cost and durability. Well, after going back and forth with their tech supt dept, I finally gave up. This is a stand alone computer, no internet connection, so pretty much sneakernet updates only. I ended up purchasing a Logitech G920 a few weeks ago and tried installing it on that rig, which is running Win 7, and according to Logitech, it should work, but the software install bombs out and doesn't complete. So, in the mean time, wanting to try out the game, I had set up another rig and installed FS19, and have quite enjoyed it, though playing Farm sim with only the keyboard/mouse is not as much fun as I imagine it could be. As I had also bought the new MS Flight Sim about a year ago, and haven't installed it yet as I haven't completed my new gaming computer rig (hopefully within a month or so), I figured that it would make sense to spend a bit more on the flight controls, but I am wondering if I can integrate that setup into mine. In one of the reviews, someone mentioned Virpil products, saying they were definitely more expensive, but were a buy once, cry once type of purchase. Understanding of course that these aren't $1000 setups, so you do to some degree get what you pay for, but from the reviews I read, a significant number of people haven't had good luck with them, and support has been spotty as well. Which is fine, as long as they perform reasonably well and last a fair amount of time. Jessi, after reading your thoughts on the matter, I took a look at Thrustmaster products, and after reading a number of reviews, came away with the impression that these were designed to a price point.
